In addition to being a powerful stimulant, it has been shown that taking between 3 to 9 grams of ginseng 2 hours before a meal can dramatically decrease your amount of postprandial glucose. So American ginseng is a definite go for anyone who wishes to control their blood sugar naturally.

Gurmarin particularly, is a polypeptide that closely resembles bovine insulin that
has been shown to have a significant effect on blood sugar levels.
